I will have to pass the buck to the Chinese themselves for this book because my students were all of them to a man (or woman) quite offended that I would write only good things about their country! Seeing their reactions to my idea of writing an ‘only positive book’, after a few minutes of agonizing, I adjusted my focus and started writing, tying to balance between the interesting and the fascinating as well as the annoying!
These pages are my own experiences and thoughts
from either living or visiting in Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing, TianJin, Nanjing, Harbin, Changsha, Changde, Guilin Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Wuhan and smaller cities in Guangdong.
